Versatile & Convertible
The 2023 Ford Transit is a versatile van you can convert to carry both freight and people. The 2023 Ford Transit minivan is designed to keep up with your busy household. You can choose from various powerful engines, and you'll find plenty of interior space for your belongings. The Transit is built with several unique characteristics, such as swiveling seats you can adjust manually in four directions and all-terrain tires you can upgrade for improved ground clearance and traction. You can install LT-metric LT245/75 R16 tires without making modifications on the plastic wheel trim or pinch weld. And with a large trunk, you'll be ready to travel almost anywhere.
Trim Levels
Trim levels for the 2023 Ford Transit include the cargo van, crew van, XL, and XLT, each of which has several configuration options. The cargo van T-150 comes with 16-inch steel wheels, power-adjustable side-view mirrors, and a split swing-out rear door for easy cargo access. The basic XL comes standard with manual folding side mirrors, black highlights, automated headlamps, rain-sensing wipers, and dual-sliding side doors. The XLT trim level has cool extras such as body-colored highlights, halogen fog lights, and power-folding, heated, and extendable side mirrors.
Engine
The 2023 Transit enjoys two powertrain options. An aspirated base 3.5-liter V-6 engine provides the ride with 275 horsepower and 262 pound-feet of torque. The twin-turbocharged and intercooler 24-valve DOHC V-6 engine gives the van 310 horsepower and 410 pound-feet of torque.
Performance
Ford has its two engines paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission for maximum performance. You can choose between rear-wheel or all-wheel drive. The power thrusts the engines from 0 to 60 mph in 6.8 seconds. With a rolling start, the van can accelerate from 5 to 60 mph in 7.1 seconds. In comparison to the previous year's model, the 2023 Ford Transit has its wheelbase extended by 2.75 inches and its height by 3.5 inches, improving its performance on off-road terrain. The Transit can tow up to 7,500 pounds.
Interior
The 2023 Transit's crew van model seats five comfortably. The XL trim level of the 2023 Ford Transit van's cargo configuration comes standard with two forward seats, vinyl flooring, a four-speaker sound system with a 4.2-inch center display screen, manual temperature control, a USB connector, and Bluetooth audio compatibility. Standard features on the XLT include cloth upholstery, wireless charging for mobile devices, digital radio, Ford's SYNC 4 infotainment system, and two USB ports with intelligent charging technology. Optional upgrades include a leather-wrapped steering wheel with satin chrome highlights, a premium nine-speaker audio system with integrated navigation, leather upholstery, warmed front seats, and a power driver's seat.
Safety Features
The automated emergency braking system, front collision warning device, and front and side airbags for all occupants come standard on every 2023 Transit trim. Ford Co-Pilot360 is standard on the XLT, and it includes features such as automatic high beams, blind-spot monitoring, lane departure warning, and reverse and side sensing systems. You can upgrade both packages to include adaptive cruise control.
